glow-in-the-dark

I spent a considerable amount of time at my ceramic teacher’s home tonight (that’s where we meet for class.) One day soon I will tell you about the wonderful-ness that is Marie and Mary Ruth, the ladies I hang with every Tuesday night.

Tonight, I worked on a Halloween piece. I’m normally not a big fan of Halloween, but I couldn’t pass this piece up and Marie was a great help this evening. I spent over two hours painting it, and I’m not finished. We had the idea of making it glow-in-the-dark, and now I have to find the paint for it tomorrow at AC Moore. As soon as it’s complete, it’s photo will be here.

I’m so ready for Fall, and it already feels like Fall in the air. It’s much cooler this week, and Target has their Christmas stuff out (so, it’s no longer summer, right?) This year, I may even bring my season-appropriate ceramic pieces out. The wreath is a must-have.

Besides ceramics class, I also made a few birthday cards for my family and friends who have birthdays this week. September is a big month for birthdays on my mom’s side of the family. Gotta be prepared. I’ve purchased so many supplies – stamps, paper, accents – and I need to justify my purchases. I’ve spent a lot of money, but I’ve saved in the number of cards we would have bought!

Time to wrap this up tonight. Maybe I’ll post another update tomorrow.
