a good day for sledding

So the skies opened up and dumped more than 8 inches of snow on us overnight. I worked from home, and this afternoon was a good time to take a break and go sledding.

We live near some pretty big open fields. There are a lot of rolling hills, and no trees in the way, so we were pretty safe.

I could only handle about an hour before my fingers started going numb.

I have no idea how much snow we have out there now, as it’s been snowing off and on all day (and it was still snowing when I walked home from our neighbor’s house 30 minutes ago.) I’m ready for it to be over for a while. I can’t get my car out of our driveway, since the city won’t plow the street next to my driveway (though they got the streets in front of and behind our house.) Looks like I’ll be working from home for at least another day.

  1. Glad you guys were safe at home today!! We might get 2-4 inches tonite, but probably won’t! Our meteorologists haven’t been too on the ball lately…. We maybe have 3-4″ in our yard & last week, had absolutely nothing. Be safe when you do venture out. Love, Aunt Linda
