a good day
Today was a good day. I had my doubts, considering I was going to have to wait until after 3 p.m. to find out what was wrong with my dad. And I don’t wait very well. (Turns out, he was diagnosed with a “pre-stroke.” Signs of a stroke, without the longer lasting effects, but now he is at higher risk of having one soon. So he has more doctor visits in his future. Now we just hope they can reverse his risk factor and help him avoid a stroke.)
I woke up super early and met a friend for running. We were scheduled to run 5 miles, but she wasn’t feeling 100% great, so she stopped at 4 miles and I ran the last mile on my own. No music or anything. Just me and the rain.
The rest of the day has been spent doing laundry, playing with the baby and trying to sneak in mini-naps when the baby would allow it.
I’m on furlough next week (that means I’m technically unemployed – without pay – for the week.) I have plans to get things done around the house, while the baby goes to daycare for half days. We’re still paying for the daycare, so I might as well use it to get a few things done, right?
I realized today that we now average 7 loads of laundry in a weekend. I still have two more loads to go this weekend. I don’t know how we have that much. The baby’s clothes are super small!
So how has your day been?
I’m glad your father is doing ok, and I hope he recovers and does not have an actual stroke.
Thanks, Holly! I appreciate it. 🙂
I’m glad your father is doing better. And, yes, naps are good!
