good news Monday

I normally hate Mondays. Today was an exception. Several good things happened today! I think it’s time for another list.

–For the second Monday in a row, I arrived at work not only on time, but EARLY! I don’t know what’s happening to me. (Well, this morning, the husband woke up at 5:30 so he could register for his grad school classes at 6 a.m. So that’s what happened.)
–We booked a night at a bed and breakfast in the middle of North Carolina (literally half way across the state.) We’re heading there in a couple of weeks.
–We also booked three nights at a resort in Atlantic Beach! It’s further away than we were planning on, but that’s what Dramamine is for, right?
–Our four nights away just cost us $159 (not including food and gas, of course.) But at the resort we’ll have a kitchen, and the b&b provides breakfast. Score.
–McLittle is now on a waiting list for day care. We’re visiting two on Thursday, and we’ve already been told by a third that we’ll be top priority because of husband’s job.
–Elvis Costello is coming to Asheville this summer. Tickets go on sale Friday. I’m hoping to buy them for Kenny’s birthday (can you all hope, pray and keep your fingers crossed that we get tickets before the show sells out??) This is a seated show, so even I’ll be able to attend. And he’s wanted to see Elvis Costello for as long as I’ve known him.

It’s been a good day.
