gourd gala
I’m not a Halloween person. I think we’ve already established that on my blog. I get into the decorations for fall, and I love black cats (any cat, really) and some of my Halloween decorations that I’ve painted, but I definitely don’t go all out and do the costume and the pumpkin carving or anything else like that.
Until tonight.
The husband and I were invited to the 5th Annual Gourd Gala at Laura’s house. We’ve gone twice before, but this was our first time ever carving a pumpkin (and I have to give the husband full credit for carving – I just helped scoop the pumpkin guts a little bit.) It was very fun, and now we have our first jack-o-lantern sitting on our front porch!
Here are a few (or dozen) pictures from the festivities.

It was a very fun night – and I’m definitely looking forward to the sixth annual gourd gala!!
