Green Sprouts warming plate (review + a giveaway)
Disclosure: I received a Green Sprouts warming plate to review. As usual, all opinions are my own.
I received the Green Sprouts warming plate earlier this month to try out with my son. I think the plate is more for me than just him. Since we still sometimes make some of his meals separate from ours (he can be picky), this plate allows food to remain warm. And the bottom of the plate has suction and traction so he can’t toss it (which would have been SUPER handy several months ago when he was still in his plate-throwing days!) Best of all, the plate is top-shelf dishwasher safe. Music to my ears.
So we tried it last week and over the weekend. I love the depth of the sections of the plate. It just allows for more food (like applesauce) to fit on the plate. On one particular night, he just had grilled cheese and cheese shapes. (Can you figure out his favorite food group?) And he ate immediately, so there was no time for his food to get cool. Another night, we went with pasta while I cooked something else for my husband and I. I can fill up the compartment with warm water, and his food will stay warm on the plate, without being too hot for him to touch (or eat).
I love that Green Sprouts products are safe for kids. And this is safe for me to use in the dishwasher. This plate is good for first uses, but it can also grow with the child. My son is over the age of 2, and he uses this with no problems. If you have a younger one who is all into throwing everything, this has traction on the bottom of the plate and can suction to the high chair tray or table.
Now I’m excited to be able to give away one Green Sprouts Warming Plate to a lucky reader! Just complete the Rafflecopter widget below. And be sure to “like” i Play on Facebook!
Are you familiar with Green Sprouts products? What is your favorite product? What has been your biggest challenge when it comes to mealtime?
Such a great product! I love the suction cup feature- my son is big on putting his plate on his head ;/
Right now our challenge with feeding our 1 year old is flying saucers. I have to put the food directly on the high chair tray. If I try to give her a plate or saucer, she tosses it. Sigh.
I like that plate because of the sections. My kids are like me and they don’t like their food to touch, so this is perfect for them (and me).
We love fun new ideas for toddlers! This looks like a quality product that is helpful to moms for sure!
With deeper inserts, the food won’t slide out as easily when kids are trying to learn how to use utensils. What a great plate!
This looks like a wonderful product. I love that it is safe for the children and makes eating easier.
He knows where it’s at – cheese is one of my favorite food groups, too! Cheese!
My biggest challenge is getting them to eat anything…period! This plate would definitely help. Sweet T won’t eat her food at the same time we do because it’s “too hot.” By the time she procrastinates putting it in her mouth it’s “too cold.” This would save us a trip to the microwave.
My kids are beyond toddler age now but even at 9 and 11, the plate being too warm can be an issue. This would have been great when my kids were little!
Oh, I NEED this for my twins! Biggest challenge is getting them to try a variety of food.
Love the sections. Great plate for slow eaters. Awesome.
My biggest challenge is keeping my daughter to stay at the table. My biggest challenge for my older girls is getting them to eat in a timely manner so their food stays warm. This one is awesome.
YES, I have definitely heard of them before! I love the organized separators, especially for my picky kids!
We’ve been struggling with our 1 1/2 year old granddaughter lately, she is such a picky eater! Luckily we can always fall back on mac&cheese or grilled cheese sandwiches when she refuses all other food!
You had me sold with the suction cup feature! I don’t know how many times I watched a plate fly off a high chair, making a huge mess!
I love all the new toddler friendly items hitting the shelves nowadays. My youngest is almost 8 but this would be perfect for my great-niece. Preventing the plate from sliding around on the high chair tray is perfect.
The plate is adorable. Our biggest challenge is just getting him to eat. He is such a grazer! He will have one bite here and one bite there. It’s annoying!
That is a really cute plate. I love the compartment dishes like this because my daughter likes to play around with her food and make a mess!
Looks like a great plate. I know my youngest son could really use that.
How awesome that it has suction so it can’t be tossed. Such a great idea for little ones!
It looks like they put a lot of thought into the plate. And big kudos to them too, for doing so!
I love products that grow with your family. My little one likes to take her plate and toss it overboard if the plate she is using doesnt have that rubber bottom. This looks great!
This looks like a fun plate for a toddler. I bet that will encourage them to eat their veggies
That is such an awesome idea. My kids never really game me problems when they ate. I am pretty lucky!
Neat product! Post bariatric surgery patients are encouraged to eat small meals over a long period of time, this might work well for them also.
What a neat product! This will be great to help warm meals stay that way while we encourage children to take their time at a meal.
My toddler can be quite a messy eater, but we just roll with it! My five-year old is the one who needs this plate. He DOES NOT like when his separate dishes touch each other. This would be just the thing to fix that!
One of mine was a picky eater, too. The biggest challenge was getting him to try new foods.
We have used Green Sprouts in the past- great products. Great quality. This looks really neat! I’d like it for mom meals, since I’m always up and down, up and down.
What a cool (warm) product for the kiddos! I’ve never seen this brand before! Thanks for having a giveaway.
I don’t have any kids but I have heard (and seen) plenty of stories of kids throwing anything they can get their hands on so the fact that this has a traction that can suction to surfaces is great 🙂
The biggest challenge with my 18 month old is definitely the plate throwing. She is very fast and apparently has a good arm.
Biggest challenge was getting them to eat – they were pickers or grazers as my hubby called them. The heated plate is perfect to keep food warm.
My little guy always has been a super duper picky eater. It drives me CRAZY! I find that if I serve his foods in something like this, he tends to eat a little more but not always. Ohh, and I love anything dishwasher safe! If it’s not dishwasher safe – I don’t buy it.
I feel like all the good stuff comes out now that my son is too big! This would have been perfect when he was younger!
I love how that plate works. I had a hard time keeping my son at the table. I swear he ate all day because he’d take a bit eand run play!
very cool. this would be perfect for my daughter. what a great idea for keeping food warm!
What a great plate for little ones! I don’t miss the throwing food stage of toddlerhood!
My biggest challenge with feeding toddlers was finding a way to cook food the entire family could eat instead of making more than one meal.
Great plate! It is a challenge to feed your toddler!
