Grogu in Pod – Corner Bookmark Tutorial

This post may include affiliate links and I may earn commission if you make a purchase through these links.

This Grogu corner bookmark tutorial is a great craft for Star Wars fans. May the 4th is coming up, so download the templates today!

Are you a Star Wars or Mandalorian fan? This bookmark craft is for you. I know, I know. What are you going to do with ALL of the bookmarks I’ve shared on this site? Use them! My kids are constantly looking for new bookmarks to save their places each night. I have just a couple of physical books that I’m hoping to read soon and bookmarks are just hard to come by in this age of the e-readers. However, the Grogu in a pod craft is SUPER cute and I may have to create one for every reader in our house (all 4 of us!)

Supplies to make a Grogu corner bookmark:

  • Colored construction paper or card stock
  • Pencil – to trace the template
  • A pair of scissors
  • Craft glue
  • Sharpies or gel/felt tip pens
Download the Template!
Enter your information below and the Grogu Bookmark Template will be sent to your inbox
Thank you for subscribing!

How to make a Grogu corner bookmark:

Step 1 – Select green and pink colored paper for the Grogu body, grey, black, and yellow craft papers for the pod and 2 different shades of brown colored paper for the Grogu’s clothes. Trace the template patterns on the selected papers and cut them out.

Step 2 – Attach the inner ear cutouts on the ear parts of the Grogu base and attach the collar cutout along the top side of the cloth cutout.

Step 3 – Attach the cloth pattern on the lower part of the Grogu base (below the head part).

Step 4 – Use a sharpie or gel pen to draw the eyes, nose and mouth of the Grogu figure.

Step 5 – Attach the small pod base on the large pod base and attach the strip cutout along the top side of the pod’s front part (half-base).

Step 6 – Attach the 2 small square cutouts (with 2 rounds corners) on both pointy sides of the pod base pattern. Flip the half-base to the wrong side and apply glue along the round edge.

Step 7 – Place the glued round edge of the half-base on the bottom side of the main base pattern. This will form a pocket-like pattern. Use a sharpie or gel pen to trace outlines on the papercraft pod pattern.

Step 8 – You can insert the papercraft Grogu through the top open side of the half-base.

Step 9 – Take a piece of square paper (6.3 inches x 6.3 inches).

Step 10 – Use the square paper to make an origami corner bookmark. (This link will show you how to make the corner bookmark portion if you haven’t done it before.)

Step 11 – Attach the papercraft pod (with the Grogu paper figure inside) on the triangle side of the origami corner bookmark to complete the craft.

And then you’re done!
