We had a whirlwind weekend. I felt like I never had a chance to sit down on Saturday because I was running from appointment to event to home to mulching leaves to….you get the picture. It was a hectic day and I was looking forward to downtime on Sunday, which turned out to be a cold and rainy day. The perfect day to take in movies and hang out in our comfy clothes all day.
When I’m vegging out for the day, I’m not wearing the most high fashion clothing I own. (And let’s face it. I’m a fairly simple girl. I like solid colors and items that make me feel good.)
And my husband. Well, he lives in sweatshirts during the winter, especially on weekends. I remember years ago, on a whim, he wanted a hoodie and it became this short obsession of his to find just what he wanted. We spent a good amount of time finding the “right one” and it has definitely gotten some wear. He has a couple of sweatshirts now that sport his alma maters. And he wasted no time in wearing his grey Hanes fleece hoodie the day after it arrived at our house. It’s a good thing he was sent two hoodies (and a crew sweatshirt.) He’s set for this winter.
Gone are the days of the baggie sweatshirts – unless that’s how you want to wear yours. I received a crew sweatshirt and a hoodie from Hanes. They both ran fairly true to size and definitely weren’t oversized like I used to wear as a student. The hoodie has made its way into my normal cooler weather, but not freezing, jacket rotation. It looks good. It feels good. I don’t look sloppy.
The grey crew sweatshirt is comfortable and looks great with jeans. It works great for my weekend errands. Oh, and it’s perfect for bedtime reading.
My son’s Hanes hoodie leaves a little room for him to grow into it, but I was excited about the design not being too cartoonish for him. We want him to feel good, be comfortable, and look like a little boy. It’s warm and it appears to be comfortable – he didn’t beg to take it off within minutes of putting it on. That’s good, right?
And I was surprised at the colors. My husband received items in grey, sky blue and burgundy. For myself, burgundy and a lighter grey. My son’s jacket is the grey/black with the design on the front. Hanes offers their products in basic colors such as grey, black and blue, and also bright colors (like pink, orange, and green.) Quite the variety.
You can get your own Hanes fleece items through Hanes.com or many mass retailers.
