Three years ago, we ventured out to “just look” at cats. They were holding an adoption day at PetSmart and the husband thought it would be fun to “just look.”
There was this tortoise shell cat who kept meowing at him. I thought it was cute, and even joked about how he could have a friend that would always talk to him at our house. (Personally, I was holding out for a black and white cat.)
We visited with the tortie and the husband made the comment “when we buy her. I mean, IF we buy her.” And I knew she was coming home with us.
Her adopted name was Frenchie. We changed it a few times, before eventually settling on Chloe.
She really loved the husband for the first few days. Now she’s definitely my cat.
She’s quite playful (as can be seen in this video):
I have dressed her up in various costumes, and she handles it like a champ.
We thought she’d hate having a baby around, and she’s trying to prove us wrong.
And we just love her.
Happy third (adoption) birthday, Chloe! I’m so glad we didn’t go home with the black and white cat.
