happy house anniversary!
One year ago today, we closed on our first home. We closed on a Friday, and on Saturday a group of our fabulous friends gathered at our apartment and helped move our belongings two streets over to our new home.
Tonight we’re having a gathering (you could call it a party, if you really want to.) Most of the friends who were with us last year are going to be at the house tonight. We’re celebrating the holidays and seeing two of our friends off as they move back to Tennessee (one of those two just received is PhD on Thursday – how cool is that?!?)
Can someone be in love with a house? Because if so, I am. I love my house. It isn’t super huge or super fancy. There are many parts I want to fix/upgrade, but every day when I drive home from work I feel incredibly lucky and happy that this is where I get to live.
So here’s to many more fantastic years in our house – I hope I get to change a room (or two) in the very near future. I haven’t painted in several months š
