Happy is the New Perfect – #LoveHallmark #giveaway
I have a group of friends I text throughout the day. We’ve been doing this group chat for going on two years and even though they all live in different cities and states, they’re some of my closest friends. The four of us are moms, and we share good stories – and the bad – when it comes to our parenting skills.
Far too often, I see photos and articles online that depict really great moments or perfection. I’m envious of the spotless spaces (I currently have Legos all over living room floor) and the amount of natural light people seem to have throughout their homes (we have a lot of trees that block light. Natural light is a dream – and something we get mainly in late fall and winter.)
But then I have moments where I build forts for my son, ignoring the mess in the living room. He is ecstatic when I take the time to build these “castles” for him and that’s what matter.
Last week I received a package from Hallmark that included framed art that says “Happy is the New Perfect.” And it really hit home. Perfection is not going to be found in my living room – not this week, at least. And just like with the texts I share with my friends, perfection is not found in our homes unless you’re looking at the happiness we’re all experiencing in the little moments.
Along with the framed art, I also received a wristlet with the same saying – and will fit perfect in my purse to hold small items that constantly get lost. And the mug? It says “You may ignore the queen, but she’s still the queen.” I love it. (And I may end up giving it to someone I have in mind.) All of these items are from Hallmark’s “Pretty Witty” line, which really speaks to me. š
I enjoy getting these fun surprises through the Love Hallmark program, because they also included a few greeting cards. Their cards are always spot on and I can’t wait to send them to friends and family in the next few days. (Mother’s Day is just next week! Have you purchased your cards yet??)
One winner will receive a giveaway pack including āHappy is the New Perfectā framed art and wristlet, as well as Signature and Kim Mallory greetings. Just enter through the Rafflecopter below, and the winner will be announced on May 11!
I received items from Hallmark’s Pretty Witty line in exchange for this review. No other compensation was exchanged and all opinions, as usual, are my own.
What makes up your “perfect”? For me, it’s a happy family. I know the big messes will eventually get cleaned up, but hopefully we’re having a good time while making those messes.
Any day spent with my family is pretty perfect. If there’s also some Disney, cupcakes or a trip to the zoo mixed in there, even better!
A day spent with my little family and my parents and siblings !! Being together is amazing!! Aside from that, the gym also makes me pretty happy!! ? Overall, though just being with my family!!
Books, movies and tea would make a perfect day for me!
What a great quote! I so agree. My house is far from perfect, but I remind myself my kids will remember more the time we spent together having fun than how clean (or messy) the house was.
I love all those things. Happy is the new perfect really rings true for me! I try to make everything clean or organized before I feel like I can enjoy it… but then end up exhausted!
Perfect day is a good run, lunch outside downtown and then a cookout/firepit night at home!
A strong cup of coffee, nice breeze from the open window, praise and worship music and the Word of God
Spending time with my little family – no matter what we are doing, it is a blessing!
The perfect day for me is when I have all 3 of my kids home together having a great dinner .
Relaxing with my kids and husband equals the perfect day. Whether we’re hiking, piddling around in the yard, or lounging in pjs — just love being with them.
My perfect day is spending time with my family and pets, good food, laughter and fun!
I admit I’m a little OCD about the inside of my house, so I guess that’s why a perfect day would be spent outside (so nobody can mess up the house). Outside on the beach playing with my boys and husband = A Perfect day!
hiking, followed by relaxing in the hot tub listening to the creek!
LOVE that saying.
Going to bed happy & tired
My perfect day starts off with a home cooked breakfast and putting on my makeup for the day. It ends with spending some time with my Xbox.
Sleeping in, someone else making the pot of coffee, a nice snuggle in bed with my kids & then a day out canoeing & picnicking with the whole family is my perfect day. Also: Not having to do ANY of the dishes! š
Happy Mother’s Day to you!
A clean house and time to relax would be the perfect day.
What makes up a perfect day for me is getting to spend the day with my hubby & our two college-aged kids! It doesn’t matter to me what we do, just so we get to hang out together & spend quality time together!
I love traveling with family & friends…a perfect day is basically anytime I get to spend with them!
