Happy Spring!
The first day of Spring has been out of this world amazing.
This is the daffodil that’s been growing in our front flower bed – I just noticed it yesterday, and obviously it’s been growing for a while!
We spent the day outside. We walked the dogs and brought them over to play in the yard. I then worked on seeds for the vegetable garden (after a trip to Lowes.) We have quite the list of vegetables we’re planting! Cucumbers, zucchini, winter and summer squash, cucumbers, lettuce, peas, string beans and tomatoes. Wow. Our garden will be expanded by several feet compared to last year’s first garden attempt! I also planted seeds for catnip and I have oregano, basil and mint left to start. (These are all being planted in seed starters – not yet in the ground.)
This evening we took another walk and I worked on some weeds in the front yard. I want to get rid of these thorny vines that have grown in the place our old bush used to be. Tonight I took Round Up to them. Hopefully that’ll make my spring/summer much more enjoyable. (Not having to pull them so often.)
How was your first day of Spring?
wow…that one has been growing for a while! I can’t wait to see color blooms!!!!
