heading home….again

Today we begin our final trip home to Asheville in 2009. You have no idea how tired I am. On Christmas Day, I fell asleep around 2:30, only to wake up two hours later thinking it was Saturday morning. I hate that feeling. And the nap wasn’t needed because I ate too much. I feel like our traveling is wearing us down.

Christmas with the in-laws was fun. I received a food dehydrator which I’ve been thinking about for a while (my mom has one and I always think it would be awesome if I could dry my own herbs, fruit, etc.), as well as a lot of CDs, DVDs and some other items. (Um, helloooooo queen-sized electric blanket with dual controls! Can’t wait to use you this weekend!) The husband received so many items to clean his car and sausage and cheese sets from Hickory Farms. He asked for the sausage and cheese sets from everybody, and I think everybody has bought him that. We have a second go-round of Christmas gifts at our house when we get back to Asheville.

There are a few stores I want to stop by during our trip, so our drive time might be a little longer than normal. I think it’ll help break things up – until we get to Newberry, SC and are ready to claw our eyes out from driving so long!

Hope you’ve had a very Merry Christmas….just a few more days left of the year!
