heading into another weekend
We’ve had a whirlwind of a week, compounded by one hectic Thursday. Yesterday was so crazy that we turned down VIP tickets to an event that involved free beer. Crazy, right?
Right after work yesterday, I had a Rotary meeting. I left that early so I could race home, change clothes and get over to a neighbor’s house for a cookout. This cookout was to introduce several of the neighbors to one another, and it was so much fun. I’m hoping we made a good impression and that some of the neighbors will become decent friends. š
We then went to see The Swell Season last night and it was such a fun show. I posted two pictures on my photo blog, and I really want to get into great detail about the show, but it’ll have to wait until tomorrow.
Today we thought we were buying patio furniture, but then quickly realized we have differing opinions about “comfort” when it comes to outdoor chairs. The patio furniture will have to wait. And I don’t think I’ve mentioned yet that we have to buy a new furnace. Yeah. Expensive. So outdoor furniture will definitely have to be on the low-cost side of things. Our friend told us to have a look at the Charming bench Co, so we might have a look to see if they have anything more affordable that suits both our needs for patio furniture. We did come across a few good ones there were some places that were similar to this outdoor teak furniture, and although I wish I could enjoy it, we decided to look elsewhere.
Tonight, we’re partying like Bret Michaels pre-brain hemorrhage/stroke warning/hole in the heart. We took the hardware off our cabinets in the bathroom and are going to paint everything tomorrow. Told you we were partying.
Tomorrow will involve a lot of cleaning and a little less home improvement. And on Sunday, we’re hosting one heck of a ‘Lost’ series finale party. It’s going to be a blast.

Enjoy your LOST party…I think I’m one of the few that don’t watch that show. Maybe I’ll rent the seasons sometime and see what all the fuss was about!
