Hiking

Finally got the hiking photos up! On Good Friday, I took the day off (Kenny already had the day off) and we attempted to hike Cold Mountain. He’s read part of the book, we’ve seen the movie, now we just needed to see the real deal.

It was rough.

The hike was supposed to last around 5 1/2 hours round trip. At one point, we got to a clearing, where we were supposed to continue to the left and reach the peak of Cold Mtn. We went to the right, and ended up in “The Narrows” where we could see the peak of Cold Mtn. We gave up…took some photos, ate lunch, and headed back down. We still were out there around 5 hours, but couldn’t attempt another uphill battle. Maybe next year.
