i play. fleece review and giveaway
Last summer, a co-worker gifted us several items from i play. and green sprouts, including burp clothes, bibs and body suits (among other items.) She mentioned the company was local to us, and I quickly did a search to find that the company is based in Asheville. We use the burp clothes often, and we’ve started using the bibs more often now that the baby is eating cereal, and we love everything.
So I was pretty excited when I was approached about trying out an item from their Winterwear line.
Unfortunately, winter hasn’t wanted to stick around our area. We received the fleece converter last week and I was just waiting for it to get cold enough to use.
Over the weekend, we needed to run to the store, so I bundled the kiddo right up in the fleece converter. (He doesn’t look thrilled, but that’s because he had been fighting naps over the weekend.)
He has just gotten into 6-9 month clothes (which some are already too small), so I was a little concerned that the size small wouldn’t fit him. It’s actually too big. That’s ok, though, because we have something he can wear for the rest of winter. And the gray you see at the bottom? Those are his socks. His hands were covered with the fold-over sleeve, and the bottom is open for feet.
The fleece is super soft. And it has several zippers to get him in and out. All of the zippers allowed me to make sure he wasn’t too warm in the store – just unzipped for a little bit, without having to take him out of all of the clothes. He could still move around and wasn’t very restricted (unlike when we have his regular winter coat on him.) Even when we put him in the car seat, the straps didn’t have to be adjusted. Perfect.
And I’m pretty sure he was comfortable, as he fell asleep in it on our way home from the store. It felt nice and warm. I would have fallen asleep too.
Interested in buying one for your little one – or a baby you know? Or, are you interested in any of their other Winterwear or green sprouts disposable products? Just enter the code IPFB12 and you will receive 20% off your order! This offer is valid through 2/29/12.
**Giveaway time** Not only did we receive one to try out, but i play. is also offering one fleece converter to be given away on my blog. You can choose the color (pink or blue) and size. This would make a great gift! If you don’t have a baby, but know someone who could use this, then please feel free to enter! Just leave a comment telling me which color you’d like. I’ll select a winner via random.org next Wednesday, February 29.

I received a fleece converter to try out, but was not paid for this review. All of the opinions are my own. Giveaway winner will be announced on my blog. The winner’s info will then be sent to i play. so they can receive their item.
