I really mean it.

I work a late, late shift tomorrow. Going in around 3 p.m. and covering the Christmas Jam until 3 or 4 a.m. I do love the Christmas Jam, but this year it’s over two nights and I’m already not feeling the greatest. Hopefully I can hold out until Monday to get sick.

We’ve been dealing with the old landlords the past couple of days. It’s getting old really fast. If they can be agreeable, then we have someone who can measure the room tomorrow and possibly put new carpet in over the weekend. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if we could be done with them by Monday? Simply fabulous.

I put my wreath up tonight. I’m starting to feel the “holiday spirit.” I’m not really feeling the over-spending thing this year. It might be the fact that Jason won’t be around to enjoy it with us, or the fact that we’ve just dropped a ton of money on buying the house. Either way, it’s not much. I’ve found a lot more joy in making stuff and I’m hoping everyone’s ok with that.

Did I ever mention that we ditched our expanded cable? I thought I wouldn’t survive without it, but this week has been pretty nice without all of the channels. Don’t get me wrong. I seriously miss Bravo. But I’ve also been in bed earlier, gotten a ton more rest and spent more time with the husband. I think the tradeoff has been worth it.

Speaking of….I think I’ll arrange the dining room tonight. Happy Thursday 🙂
