I survived Bele Chere (and possibly my final concert before baby arrives)
Wow. What a day.
I survived Bele Chere. Over three hours of it, at least. It was just over 90 degrees when we headed downtown, but I was prepared with my sunscreen and bottle of water. I ended up getting two lemonades (32 ounces each) in addition to my 40 ounces of water, but at least I didn’t pass out from the heat.
The people-watching was somewhat fun. The walking around downtown is always cool, but I could have been happier with fewer crowds. My whole agenda was to see Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers play, and I did (and I was front and center for most of the 90-minute set.)
Stephen Kellogg was amazing. And McLittle even enjoyed him, but he’s always moved to Stephen Kellogg’s music when I play it from my iPod. š
We almost made it to my boss’s house for some swimming time this evening, but the thunder killed those plans as we were getting into the car. So now we’re hanging out in our cool house.
How about a video?
Now I’ll leave you with some photos:
I’m so glad I went!
Glad you were able to get to your afternoon concert!! You really did consume lots of fluid, but that’s the secret to this heat!!!Enjoy the rest of your weekend………..
Thanks, aunt Linda! I definitely needed the extra water today (on top of what I had consumed before heading out!) Hope you’re doing well. š
mm…lemonade! i’ve never heard of any of the people you see in concert, but it always sounds like so much fun!
