if only I could get paid for this….

My dad and stepmom are coming into town today, and I’ve somehow managed to pull (most of) our house together. I did all of the sweeping, vacuuming (I even vacuumed the furniture!), bed making and clearing of several tables and desks. They’re staying in our downstairs room since Chloe has taken over the guest room and my stepmom is allergic to cats. (I just didn’t have time to clean that room extensively.)

And with all of that, I still managed to take care of Lucas, and bake two loaves of banana bread.

I’m kind of awesome like that – today, at least. If only I could get paid to be a stay at home mom. 🙂

In other exciting news…I finally ordered my fancy camera, in honor of my birthday! I felt like I deserved it, and I had the money saved for it. It will be here by Monday (and I’m kind of hoping that it’s shipped sooner and I have it by Saturday….high hopes.) I’m going to be a picture-taking fool very soon!
