InstaFriday – the birthday weekend edition
It’s Friday. I posted so many photos this past week and it’s fun to recap them, so let’s take a moment and link up with InstaFriday, shall we? (And are you on Instagram? Let me know if you are in my comments, so I can follow you!)
Last Friday, I ventured over to Trader Joe’s. It just opened in Asheville two weeks ago, and parking is still horrendous. I managed to get in the store and out in less than 30 minutes, and I grabbed this, which so many people had raved about. (I tried it Saturday night. It’s seriously good.)
Friday night started my birthday weekend festivities. My birthday weekend deserves it’s own post. And this mojito picture might be one of my favorites from the past month. It’s so pretty!
On Saturday, I went to the tailgate market and bought this squash for $5. It was huge!
The toddler and I drove to my old college for homecoming. The best part of where I went to school? The cloggers, hands down.
(What? You didn’t have an internationally known clogging team at your college??)
That night, we had a birthday party for me and it involved glow in the dark ring toss. It was epic.
On Sunday, I took Lucas to church and he discovered that the Sunday school class had a tiny frog!
This is a part of the stack of books I read to him before bed on Sunday. We reached 21 books before I finally called it a night.
And he actually let me tuck him in. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 times of me going into his room before I can get him to calm down enough to want to be tucked in. Crazy boy.
On Monday, he let me take his monthly photo! It was his birthday gift to me.
I then had to spend time in the unemployment office. Happy birthday to me.
When we were coming home from dinner that night, I made my husband take photos with my phone of the sunset. It was so pretty.
The leaves are definitely changing. This was from my run with Carol on Tuesday.
And I’ve been dragging Chloe’s bed out more often and placing it in direct sunlight. She loves it.
Finally on Thursday, my son’s daycare went on a field trip to the corn maze. I had arranged it, and because of my unemployed status, I had the opportunity to volunteer to go on the trip. My little guy climbed the rope spider web all by himself!
And that was just a fraction of the photos I took this week. How was your week? Are you fully embracing fall?
