InstaFriday – date nights and road trips!

Once again, we’ve reached Friday. Things are a bit different this week – we’re on a short road trip to Kentucky. I’m linking up again for InstaFriday so you can see all of my fun photos I post on Instagram. (I’m jaime_mckee, by the way.)

My kid is an ice cream master. Especially the McDonald’s ice cream (when we go by there, he immediately starts saying “ice cream!” We’re training him right.)

My $3 waffle maker produced these for Saturday breakfast. Yum.


Date night! Drinks and husband!


Date night led to bowling. After I posted this, a friend questioned the image on the screen that’s in front of my husband. (And then I spent the rest of the evening laughing.)

This sweet boy insists on sleeping with multiple blankets and three animals every night.

My garden is producing peppers! I have several more that will be ready in the next week and I think I may have tomatoes ripening soon (can you say SALSA!?!)


These flowers. Oh, these flowers. I love them so.


Our friends are opening a pinball museum near my office very soon. I stopped by on my way to my car one evening and my husband wanted to show me all of the games (he’s been helping them set up.)


We take walks every evening and there’s a place nearby that has therapy animals (and other random farm animals). Some nights we see all types of animals. This week we were able to see the miniature pony.


We took the road trip that would never end on Thursday. Three hours into the trip, we had to bring out the iPad for entertainment. I’m thankful we made it three hours.


Then we switched to books. Who doesn’t love a good book?


And randomly, we passed this castle. I’m still searching for information (and finding so many crazy details about this.)
