InstaFriday – July week 2

Our last day in Florida was Friday. Pool feet. They were the best.

We traveled home on Saturday, stopping at Chick-Fil-A for lunch. My husband wanted to eat at CFA for days so I had him find one that was relatively close to the interstate. While our boy was eating his kids meal, I realized just how big he was getting. Who is this child?


Chloe was so happy to have us home. Pretty sure she didn’t shut her eyes all Saturday night, for fear we wouldn’t be there when she opened them.


I planted calla lilies a few weeks ago and the 8 inches of rain while we were away helped them grow! (that’s the ONLY upside to all of the rain because my vegetable garden has mostly rotted away and I’m so sad about that.)


I had a major bento-fail moment this week. Grilled cheese needs to cool a bit before you add a face. (And wouldn’t you know, he preferred the crust over the scary sandwich?)


This kid. He has this “jack in the box” that’s really a bunny in a box. (Nutbrown Hare, to be more specific.) He calls it “bunny in the trash” and he’s started saying “bunny in the blocks.” I have video of him that I’m going to post this weekend that was taken just before this photo.


Two days after the bento-fail-incident, I redeemed myself with cute cheese.
