Wednesday was my actual due date. And McLittle(r) was delivered on Monday.

Now that some of our family members have met her, most of our family has been informed about her and our friends have found out through Facebook and the wonderful world of texting, I feel I can introduce her on the blog.

Introducing Lilah Grace. We decided on her first name about a month ago (despite people thinking we were holding back on the name.) The middle name came about a week or two later. The spelling of her name was decided at 5 a.m. Monday, just before we left for the hospital.

Our boy was the first family member to meet her (outside of my husband and I, of course.) We had a plan for who we wanted to visit on the first day, and our priority was Lucas. It went surprisingly well. (Now, after he had no nap, came back to the hospital and saw more grandparents, wanted to show off and was just strung out….things went a little downhill. But the rest of the week has been really great.)

It’s been a whirlwind of a week. We had her delivery planned (if I had gone into labor before our scheduled c-section date, then I would have proceeded that route. But we were smart to go ahead and schedule something as a back-up.) We’d actually set a scheduled date a few months ago – more to help me mentally have an end date.

Instead of rushing home 48 hours later, I opted to stay one more night. Best decision ever. I totally forgot about the second night being worse than the first night. The third night helped me recover from first night.

Our family of four is now all under the same roof and we’re doing relatively well. Now to see how the rest of our adventure plays out!
