(This post is for my friend, Jules, really.)

Saturday was a crazy, crazy day. It was full of blog conferencing, and a little bit of work that I had to do that night. And around lunchtime, I saw that I missed a call from my friend Jules, and thought something might be wrong.

Nothing was wrong. She was just in town for the day. And I needed to squeeze in a short visit while she was here.

I left downtown around 6 p.m. and headed home, got another call from Jules (because I was disoriented and forgot to go straight to the hotel her family was staying at) and remembered I needed to go by and see her. I immediately dropped my bags and went back out.

I managed to get one good shot of us (though, what’s up with my forehead? I must talk to my hairdresser on Tuesday. We need to figure out a hair-fix….actually, I think that’s from having my hair pulled back most of the day.)

I think we visited for about ten minutes and then I went back home, cleaned up and my husband and I went back downtown. I had a fun night of a party (hosted by the blog conference peeps) and then made my way over to Pack’s Tavern to finish out the night.

Remind me to not do that much in one day ever again. It did not feel good waking up on Sunday morning.

Oh, and it really does pay to live three miles from a very cool downtown. It helps on days like last Saturday.
