It’s just how it happens sometimes

The husband has taken a strong interest in Guitar Hero for the Wii. I didn’t realize just how strong this interest was until yesterday when he saw that K-Mart had the game for $70 (on sale from $100.) Last night he asked if I wanted to “look at the game.” I told him the last time we just “looked at” something, we came home with a cat.

I also mentioned that this was kind of a big purchase, and the last time I made a purchase like this, I was handed one week off without pay. (I had just purchased over $100 worth of tickets at the Orange Peel.)

We still headed to K-Mart and were a little disappointed that they were sold out. So we drove to a second store, only to find it was closed.

Imagine my surprise when I get a call at 11:30 today from the husband saying, “I have a Guitar Hero game in my hands. Right now. Do you want it?”

Sure. Why not?

At 12:02 p.m. an email came from corporate. We’re in for a second round of furloughs.

Can I call it, or what?

I guess I’ll be taking up Guitar Hero and trying to make some money off of it.

  1. At least we’re good at budgeting. If we weren’t, we’d be screwed right now. Shannon, you’re right, though. I should stop spending frivolously. (I wonder if I spelled that right?)

Chic Runner…..my husband has been playing the game so much I haven’t even touched the guitar!!!
