Why I’m enjoying the Jigsaw Puzzle app as a way to de-stress
This post is sponsored by Jigsaw Puzzle but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
We are in a very busy season of life. I love this time of year, but every September and October, my husband and I realize that we are just overbooked. Being this packed with activities can be overwhelming, but this month I’m trying to decompress a little – by using a Jigsaw Puzzle app!
I’m not a big gamer. The games on my iPhone are primarily kids games to keep them entertained at random times. The Jigsaw Puzzle app is free, and simple to figure out when you download it. There is a premium version if you choose to upgrade, but I haven’t felt the need to upgrade yet. A free puzzle is released daily, so there is always something new!
Oh and as a sidenote, this game is available on the Amazon Kindle Fire, and I fully intend on downloading it there in the near future.
I’m often on the go during the day. Sometimes I feel like my brain can’t stop thinking about the next thing. I know this isn’t great for me, and I’ve found that a good puzzle can help calm my thoughts.
With the Jigsaw Puzzle, you can select varying levels of difficulty. There are different topics (such as animals and travel) to choose from and multiple puzzles under each topic. You can choose to work with up to 400 pieces, or as few as 4 puzzle pieces. For a quick break from my daily routine, I like to do a 36- or 49-piece puzzle.

Why I’m loving Jigsaw Puzzle app!
It’s a space saver. I love puzzles, but I can’t keep a lot of physical puzzles in my house. I just don’t have the space! With this app, I have access to 10,000 puzzles. And the only thing I need to make room for is my physical phone – and I usually have that with me or in my purse.

My brain is getting some exercise. I work on websites and social media all day long, and sometimes I just need a break. With the puzzles, I am challenging my brain to do something different. Because of the number of pieces, I can spend 5 to 10 minutes at a time on a puzzle. I can even start a more challenging puzzle and the app saves my spot to come back to finish the puzzle later!

Jigsaw puzzles relax me. I enjoy escaping the world around me with a good puzzle. And isn’t it amazing that you now have puzzles at your fingertips? If you’re stuck in a waiting room or have a few minutes to spare during your lunch break, you can pull up the app and work on a puzzle.

There’s no age limit on the puzzles. If I wanted to let my son work on a puzzle, I could. I could also introduce my grandma to this app and I’m sure she would enjoy a puzzle or two.
The finished puzzles are very impressive. You can choose from animals to travel to nature or even fruit for your puzzle subjects. I normally work on the animal or travel puzzles, and the images are so vivid!
