leaves = big project

I’ve written before about my love for our yard – and my growing hatred of mowing the yard, but my love for the cool trees and the fact that we have a place for the dogs to run.

Quite often I find myself looking at timberland for sale and dreaming of a new, more simple way of life, but then I remember how much I would miss home. A girl can daydream though right? Well those “cool trees” are shedding their leaves. This is what I see from my back porch:


And the biggest tree isn’t done shedding yet:

I managed to rake a path from the back deck to the gate. Four piles of leaves that still need to be bagged. It’s about 1/8th of the yard.

I don’t know how we’re going to survive the fall!
