a little Matt makes it better
This morning, I was still feeling pretty bummed about the whole braces-ordeal (for those of you who don’t follow, scroll down a little.) I worked a little from home, and then grabbed the iPod to finish getting ready to go into the office.
I did something I rarely ever do because of my OCD with certain songs and musicians. I put the iPod on shuffle mode. Well, the next song to come on was a Matt Nathanson song – a live show of his that I put on the iPod a few months ago. It’s the only live show I have on there, and it has this great version of “Don’t Stop Believing.” (I loaded the show on there before my last marathon.) I immediately started smiling, and suddenly my day was 90% better. And it made me think of video I have of him from the Handlebar, when I saw him and Ingrid Michaelson in January.
Here’s the video. Warning – he likes to swear. Just putting that out there. I love his storytelling, and then he goes into “Angel,” one of my favorite songs by him. (I once told him it was a great alarm clock song because it’s really soft and it eases you into waking up.)
Oh, and there’s a break in the video clip where the camera stopped because it doesn’t like to record for long periods of time.
