lounge pants (Amy Butler pattern) – finally finished!

I finally finished my sleep/lounge pants last night. I only had the trim to do, but that turned out to be harder than I originally thought, since I had 2 1/2 yards of fabric, and not real trim.

I used the Amy Butler pattern from her In Stitches book. What I’d do differently next time:
–Use the size small measurements. The legs of the pants are about a foot too wide. No joke. They’re huge (and fit my husband comfortably.)
–Cut off the length before the initial hem. I hemmed the pants twice – by about 8 inches. I’m short, and these pants are not.
–Skip the trim. It was a pain, and I could have been enjoying the comfort of these pants for a couple of weeks if I had just skipped that part.

And now the pictures!

My first article of clothing….not too bad!
