Get your kid’s items organized with Mabel’s Labels!
I received the following Mabel’s Labels products to review on this blog. Affiliate links are also included in this post, which go back to making this website run. All opinions are my own.
Years ago when my son started daycare, we started on our journey of labeling everything. I had heard about Mabel’s Labels at a blog conference (before I ever had children) and early on in my parenting days, I gave them a try. I still have a pack of labels with his first name (not full name) that I used on a few things when he went back to school. When my daughter began daycare earlier a few months ago, I again ordered Mabel’s Labels for her items. I quickly realized that we needed resusable labels.
I used masking tape for a few weeks on my daughter’s cups, and it was annoying. Sending empty cups to daycare should not be this difficult! When I received the Date Mates™ from Mabel’s Labels, I placed the stickers on the cups without any issues. I’ve tried a few different markers on the labels, and ultimately like dry erase markers for these cups.
In the midst of figuring out the cup issue, my son’s backpack came apart at the seams (6 weeks into Kindergarten, we should not be replacing expensive backpacks!) I was also trying to figure out how to keep all of his items together. From the get-go, I’d been placing Mabel’s Labels on his sandwich container, thermos, and other objects going into his bag. I knew I’d need something for his replacement backpack, and also winter coats.
You guys. I can barely keep myself together during my work day. How am I supposed to make sure all of my kids’ belongings make it back to us?
Easy. Mabel’s Labels. They sent me two packs (one for each child) of their Little Kid School Combos and I’ve been label-happy. My daughter goes through outfit changes at daycare, and sometimes it takes a week more more to get items back. I won’t even discuss the lost shoe we haven’t seen this past month. I wish I’d thrown a label on the shoe! For now I’m labeling her new shoes and winter coats.
The cups have been through the dishwasher or hand washed every day since we’ve put the labels on. The labels have been on them for about 7 weeks and they’re still going strong. The name labels have been on the cups since early September and they haven’t budged. I HIGHLY recommend these labels for your kids! (Also this particular name label is their standard personalized name sticker. I purchased a set for my son more than 6 years ago and we’re still using them. My daughter’s set was purchased over the summer.)
The holidays are now here, and these labels would make the perfect stocking stuffer for the little one in your life (or that parent friend who is at the end of his/her rope with losing things at school.) There will be sales this weekend – and they’re often running sales on their website. Be sure to check them out and give them a try!
I’m updating to add that beginning Wednesday 11/22 and ending Monday 11/27, you can save 40% on Mabel’s Labels! That’s a TREMENDOUS deal! Go over there, stock up, and let me know what you bought. 🙂
I also remember hearing about Mabel’s Labels several years ago at a blogging conference and always thought they were great, especially for parents with kids in school and/or daycare. Those personalized ones are the best!
I love Mabel’s Labels!
They have such great stuff. I have so many left from over the years that I always dig ’em up at the start of the school year for my kiddo.
