marathon weekend is here
It’s finally here! The weekend of my marathon. My second (full) marathon of the year, and my last for a while.
I’m nervous, anxious, excited, relieved….And I’m just hoping that the weather holds out for the race to end and then the skies can let loose.
My dad and stepmom are driving up from Florida to see the race and visit with us for the weekend. It’s only a 4-hour drive for them (it’s 4 1/2 for me) so this was a good meeting point. I think after the race tomorrow, we’re going to drive up to Charleston (not a long drive) to check out the sights. I’ve been there numerous times, but I think I’m the only one of our group that can say that. 🙂 It’s ok, though. That gives me more time to not feel so bad for sleeping in the car while they sightsee!
Photos to come, but I’m not sure if I will have internet access where we’ll be.
Think good thoughts for ALL of the runners tomorrow. Nashville was such a nightmare for runners, with even one person dying. I just want all of us to get through this with minimal injuries and be able to enjoy the sport.
Oh, and I’ll be sporting my Team in Training shirt – raising awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! Wait til you see pictures…I put my name on the shirt in bright pink letters!
Good luck!
I like the new blog-look.
You are a marathoner. Go!

Good luck! I’ll be cheering for you from Ohio!
