Brinner is a big thing in our house – breakfast for dinner? Yes, please. While we love having it, I don’t always love making it. Dinnertime is tough in terms of time and effort. Thankfully, we have other options. It’s been a while since McDonald’s released their all-day breakfast menu, and for people in my area (western North Carolina), the menu has been expanded!
We went over the weekend. I’m a sucker for hotcakes, so I ordered the hotcakes and sausage. My husband got the sausage biscuit meal and it came with hashbrowns and coffee.
So the expanded menu. You can now get Egg McMuffin and Sausage McMuffin with Egg. The whole menu is pretty great! When I asked my husband what he was going to order, he mentioned he was going to get his “usual.” Apparently he’s been frequenting one of our local McDonald’s restaurants weekly since the school year started. I had no idea!

Here’s the thing. For the price, this meal is such a great deal. It saves me time, and doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg to feed my family. You can see the prices for my local McDonald’s above. Hotcakes and sausage were only $2.69. I normally only eat two hotcakes, so this was plenty. Related: The hotcakes are huge!
I can see why my husband has been sneaking off without my knowledge. My work schedule is pretty up in the air these days, and I know what I’ll be doing for lunch/dinner a few times this semester.
(Our kids were there. My son went for the McNuggets, which I highlighted a few weeks ago. While he also is a fan of breakfast for dinner, I wasn’t up for arguing with him that evening.)

He he, I love the word “brinner”. I’m totally going to start using that. We tried McDonald’s breakfast all day on our way back from DC. So yummy!
