Today is really the first day we’ve been in the house and able to hang one of our many flags. Thanks to the previous homeowners, we were well stocked in the American flag department. I think I’ve found four. This morning, I couldn’t sleep so I got up to find a flag to hang outside. I found one that was still in the package. (And now I need to find homes for the other flags – we only really need one!)

I had to photograph this event. Our first house. Our first flag. It’s kind of a big deal for me, at least. This is also an excuse to show you that it’s still cloudy, most likely going to rain, and our yard looks pretty awesome 🙂

Temp yesterday was 113. It’s totally dry outside, so it feels like the the heat from an oven when you walk outside. Especially when the wind is blowing, like today. It’s not a cool breeze

The worst part is the temperature is only going up. And I must admit that I felt pretty guilty for complaining about our rain after getting his email.
