Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!

And a giant happy anniversary to my grandparents. Today is there 61st wedding anniversary. (I had to ask my mom that – so if I’m wrong, it’s her fault. But it’s a long time.) It’s been tradition to eat lasagna at my grandma’s house on Christmas Eve/her anniversary after church, and this the second year in a row we’re missing out. Though, I suspect things will be a little different this year since grandpa isn’t at home.

I’m already looking forward to next Christmas. My brother will be home (at least he should be) and I suspect there will be a lot of celebrating.

Since we drove down to Lake Waccamaw on Wednesday, we have finished our shopping and wrapping. Today we’re probably going to do some bike riding, and maybe check out a movie in Whiteville. There’s no last-minute rush to do anything (at least for the husband and I.) We will do a little baking, but I believe it’s going to be a pretty low-key day.

And that’s ok. Sometimes we can all use a little downtime.

What are your plans for the day?
