I’m not technically training for anything right now, but I need (want) to stay active. A few people have posted about doing a mile-a-day challenge – walk or run at least one mile between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. I decided I needed to do this challenge as well.
Here are a few of my challenges:
I now have a job. I have to leave for said job by 7:30 a.m. and I don’t get home until around 5:35 p.m. and by then it’s dark.
I’m not comfortable walking/running in the dark. One night I spent my walk on the phone with a friend, to ease my nerves.
I used to run during my lunch hour. I’m not sure how that’s going to work at the new job.
Sometimes I just don’t want to do it.
As you can see, there are very few “challenges.” During lunch Tuesday, I did figure out a full mile around the campus. I only had to add on .09 at the end.
