This challenge has been interesting (and so keeping me on the exercise change.) What’s the #mileadayMay challenge, you may be wondering? Well, it’s a challenge to myself to get a mile of exercise in each day during the month of May. I hate slacking off, and I do it often when I take a rest day. A mile (walking) isn’t going to hurt my training, and it only keeps me motivated (it’s also good to keep my legs moving.) So. #mileadayMay was born. It’s an unofficial official challenge for myself, and you can join in!

mileadayMay

Monday – Three miles on the elliptical.

Tuesday – Elliptical for over 2 miles.

Wednesday – Evening walk. I ended up lunching with my co-workers, so not working out.

Thursday – I walked in the evening. A little more than a mile.

Friday – I walked all over campus – more than a mile. It was exhausting.

Saturday – After being on my feet for hours (setting up for the graduation reception, during the actual reception and then cleaning up), I was beat. Several other commitments also kept me from getting a “real” mile in.

Sunday – 2 miles running with the jogging stroller.

My life is slowing down, so I’m hoping I’ll get more running miles in versus walking miles. I almost feel like I have some control over my allergies, so maybe I can return to the great outdoors soon!

  1. I was totally on board with this (and still am) but I’m certainly struggling with it – just because I’m getting bakc on the wagon and all but it is helping!
