What a day. It’s 11:30 and I have been going, going, going since this morning. No rest.

I did get three miles in this morning. And then quickly showered so I could go grocery shopping with the husband. We also had lunch at Neo Burrito and it was oh-so-good. Oh, and I got a peppermint mocha latte at Starbucks – we sampled it when we walked into the grocery store, and I HAD to have one before we left. Once the shopping was done, I headed back out to Home Depot (and Lowes) to check out leaf blowers. I used a gift card we received last Christmas, and got the best leaf blower ever (for us, at least.)

Before I started on yard work, we decided to walk down to the highway to check out a couple of new shops that recently opened up. (Remember when we were really only within walking distance of the liquor store last winter? Well, now we have real stores that are opening within walking distance. It’s pretty awesome.) And because I hadn’t gotten enough out of that walk, I took Sophie for a walk around the neighborhood. And then I decided to leaf blow the yard.

The leaf blower is life-altering. For real. I don’t know if I can ever use a rake again.

Tonight we set out to find fabric and a few craft supplies. My husband is going to make “art” after getting ideas at the artists studio stroll last weekend. He needed fabric – and I got to show him the ins and outs of Hancock Fabrics! Talk about fun!!!

When we finally got home, I started folding laundry before I could work on some crafty stuff. And then I needed to work on bananas for dehydrating. Needless to say, It’s almost midnight and I haven’t gotten any crafty time in.

So my first (amazing) latte of the holiday season, new leaf blower, and getting the husband excited about javascript:void(0)the fabric store…I think today has been a success!
