Decorating with Minted framed art #review @Minted
I’ve been working on re-working our guest room. This space has to be multi-functional as a space for guests, a place for me to work (my desk is in this room) as well as a place to store some toys and a lot of our clothes. Our master bedroom has fallen victim to a very small closet.
For several years this room has been a dumping ground, and this past month I’ve set out to change that. I did a fairly deep cleaning of it a few weeks ago and had to stop when my boy ran into a wall with his head and needed me more than the mess in the room. I picked up where I left off, though, and this past weekend I spent time doing some smaller changes to brighten things up.
I changed out the bedding (goodbye pink double-sided comforter from my bachelorette days of 14 years ago.) I also hung a few of the Ikea spice racks that I love so much so I can display some of our photo books and whatever I feel like I want to display at the time. I had some empty space on one wall, so I hung this artwork and I have to say – I’m in love with the look.
The guest room portion is much more relaxing (not that the entire room isn’t the guest room, but stay with me here, ok?) I already had an oversized print of a sunrise I shot last year. This plays off that photo, but in a different area of the room. (and the image itself is blurred. My photos aren’t blurry.)
The folks at Minted sent this piece to me to check out. Minted has a whole new line of framed art. This piece came already framed and ready to hang. All I had to do was add a nail to my wall and it was ready to go.
Minted has such a wide variety of prints and frames. This particular piece comes in three color variations and many more frame options. I went with the 11×14 print in Coastal Blue and the distressed charcoal stain wood frame. It has a wire hanger on the back to make for easy hanging. There’s such a variety of sizes to choose from with all of their pieces. I’m anxious to order more for the rest of my house!
What space in your home do you wish for an update? The guest room has been long on my list of updates. Our kitchen is my next project!

That’s a very pretty print! I love the spice racks for photo-book displays. I may have to borrow that idea! I’d live to update our kitchen, but that’ll take way more than artwork. 🙂
The spice racks are awesome! I have 3 in my son’s room for a few books. Finally put them up in here, and had all that empty space so I added the frame!
It looks great! I’m still in the process of finishing up the basement. It’s just not 100% there yet!
These frames are really beautiful and would look great on my living room wall. I love exhibiting my favorite photos in lovely frames like these.
I do like that print. I need something for a wall in my bedroom–I think I will mossy on along to that site and see what art they have that I would fall in love with–I LOVE that they come already framed!!
Our whole house needs updated but we are taking it one room at a time. I’d love to retexture the walls going up our stairs and fill it up with photographs.
Looks so great! We are moving at the end of summer and I can’t wait to decorate and get new things to make it all nice like this!
This would be a quick and easy way to add some nice art to my living room. I love the piece that they sent you!
What some gorgeous looking frames, I would really love to just update the whole place here. A fresh lick of paint would make so much difference.
Artwork can add so much to a space. I definitely need to take a look at Minted.
Wow, I love their stuff. We just finished a bedroom remodel and I am looking for things for my walls so I will have to take a look through everything. I love your ideas with the spice racks. Such an easy way to change the photos out.
That print is stunning. It looks like lights and the ocean edge on a beach. Really nice. I could see that in a variety of home decor designs.
What a lovely idea. I love how you intertwined the photos and shelves together.
There are a number of areas I would like to change. I think the one I want to change the most is my bedroom though.
I love that picture, knowing it comes already framed great. I am decorating our playroom so I will have to check out what they have available for that.
These are nice frames. I am redecorating my twins’ bedroom. These frames are perfect.
We have been updating all year. Next week we would have been at the new house exactly a year. We have been working on it constantly. We are almost finished with the laundry room. Our next room will either be the office or the guest room. I want to create a sewing nook inside the closet. I love the frames and art you chose. I will have to look at that website because we need more wall art!
Nice artwork. It is amazing how art can really add some personality to a room.
I would love to redecorate my bedroom. I find my room is always the last room i tend to do. I have some great artwork i could get framed and put up.
I think prints can really bring a room together. Also, a nice frame can really make a picture a piece of art.
That print is so pretty. I’m obsessed with frames. lol
I’m working on putting on finishing touches for my house and cleaning up the garage. I can’t wait until it’s all done.
I use minted quite a bit for myself and my clients. Love them
This looks so gorgeous! The spice racks print is really awesome. Looks like a quick and easy way to decorate your home with some nice & awesome art. Thanks for sharing.
Pretty! I think I’ll do this, we just got a new home and need to spruce up the walls with some art
Looks wonderful! I’m considering ordering some already-framed prints from Minted, or just the prints then framing them myself. But for the cost and convenience, seems like pre-framed is the way to go! Curious…. what did you think about the quality of the frames from Minted?
I think their frames are nicer than what I would have chosen myself. I tend to cheap out on frames, but this one is pretty high quality and looks so nice!
