Remember when Miscellany Monday was a regular occurrence on the site? Those were good times, and I realized late last night I wanted to share what’s really happening around here!

The weekend was good. It was full of housework, catching up, and yard work. Oh, the yard work, but overall good. I don’t have Veteran’s Day off, so I’m glad we were able to get most things done. Also, my daughter is really coming into her own when it comes to fashion. 😉

So that yard work…the leaves are NOT going to take me by storm this year! I refuse to let them become way too much. I blew most of our leaves into two areas of the yard (and, thus creating a large pile that was great for jumping into.) And then I mulched and bagged a good amount before the leaf mold took hold of my allergies and beat me into submission. I followed yard work up with Benadryl, which may not have been my best moment of the weekend.

We went on a short hike, which if you’re following me on Instagram, you may have seen the video in my stories. My daughter was SO excited – until she wasn’t. And both kids were happy when we found a stream to explore. It was good to get out, even if it meant allergic reaction. (I seriously can’t handle seasonal allergies!)

I made two recipes I plan on sharing this week! I made pesto in my Vitamix, which was so much easier than my go-to food processor. And I made a slow cooker macaroni and cheese, which would make a great side dish for Thanksgiving or Christmas! (It would be perfect for Friendsgiving, but we actually are going to be out of town during Friendsgiving with our friends, which I’m pretty bummed about.)

I’m also working on a roundup of recipes to go live this week. All useful things.

OH, and a few things I’ve ordered and hope to be sharing more of soon…HomeChef and FaceTory! For HomeChef, use my link and save $35 when you try their meal service. I signed up for two meals coming the week before Thanksgiving, and I only paid $14.80 for the two meals. When you click over to their site, click “redeem offer” at the top of the page. You’ll then go through the steps of selecting the types of meals you want to try. We’re doing the 2 meals for 2 people and when I first signed up, the closest dates didn’t work for me. The site could use a little improvement, but I’m excited to try the meals for a really reasonable amount!

Finally, I’m headed to Blissdom this week! Will I see you? I’m heading to Nashville Wednesday and I can’t wait to see Andrea for longer than in-passing in between sessions. It’s going to be a busy, yet fun, week!

How was your weekend?
