mmmmm….food
This week’s You Capture is all about food (yes, again, but it’s pretty perfect for this week.) I’ve spent the evening cooking, so I had plenty to take pictures of. I just don’t know if my pictures are that great.
First up, my husband made two pumpkin pies. He then left to go play video games with a friend and my job was to take the pies out. I think I did a great job. He deserves the credit for most of the work (though I do get credit for making sure they didn’t burn!)
Next up was cranberry relish. Oh how I love cranberry relish. I make it every year. I love it so much that I remember my mom giving me my food processor for Christmas – mainly so I could make my own cranberry relish. I could have eaten this whole bowl tonight. Instead, I’ll eat 3/4 of the bowl tomorrow.
Finally, sweet potatoes. I’ve never been a sweet potatoes kind of girl, but I married a sweet potatoes kind of guy and he loves his mom’s candied yams, so it was important that I learn how to make them (for the holidays we spend in Asheville.) This is my third time making them (and they’re actually still baking.)

Now head over to Beth’s and check out all of the food. You won’t even gain weight since it’s just a picture! š
I love me some sweet potatoes. I eat them at least once a week. I could actually go for some right now. Thank goodness they’re on the menu tomorrow!
I love the picture of you pouring the sugar/honey mixture on the potatoes!
Those sweet potatoes look good!!!!!

I love how the colors of the pumpkin pies (which look perfect) and the sweet potatoes contrasts with the cranberry relish (which is beautiful). But the pic o’ the day is the pouring of the sugar/honey mixture. Very impressive!
Fantastic looking cranberry relish – what a beautiful color
What a spread! You made me really hungry!
… Happy Patch! …
I am now hungry….thanks…LOL
That relish looks interesting…might have to look that up!
oh that cranberry looks good! I may have to expand my horizons re: cranberries.
I ate too much tonight and now I don’t feel so great. But tis worth it. TFS!
I’ve been enjoying looking at the yummy Thanksgiving food everyone prepared. I love the color on that relish š
I can tell that you are a very great cook and baker! I loved your pictures. I can almost smell the pies! : ) For real!
thanks, everyone! (even if I am a little late!!)
