much needed Hot Springs
On Saturday, I ventured out to Hot Springs, NC with my mom, her friend and one of my friends. Hot Springs is about 40 minutes away and there is a resort that pumps natural mineral waters into jacuzzis. The tubs are hidden by privacy fences, and sit along the river. (And don’t worry, they’re cleaned after each use.) After my rough run and battered feet, I felt like I not only deserved a soak in a hot tub, but I needed it.
These were taken on our drive out there. It was gray and dreary and COLD. The leaves haven’t peaked yet…hopefully by next week they will be at their brightest.
It was 49 degrees when we were there.
I think that the soak definitely helped my ailing body. I woke up today with very little stiffness, and my blisters are almost all dried out.
I wonder if I can afford to drive out there every Saturday….
If I had known you were going, I could have met you there. Hot Springs is half way point between my house and Asheville.
I realized how close we were to you when we got there. Next time, I’ll give you notice and we’ll make a date š I want to go another time maybe in November??
That would be awesome. I hope your week gets better!
We drove through Hot Springs last weekend and then drove down to Maggie Valley. The leaves were so pretty but hadnt peaked in Maggie Valley yet either.
Glad you enjoyed your trip.
