We’re going to see Chad Mackey tonight – and I’m pretty excited about it. (If you aren’t familiar with him, please check out his website.) I’ve been a fan of Chad’s for several years – well before he graduated from college – and I am pretty sure I can consider him a friend and not just some musician I’ve interviewed for the newspaper. I love his songs, and I love that the show tonight is free. And even though it’s a CD release show, I’ve had the CD for a couple of weeks so I know all of the material.
We finally have tickets to see Edwin McCain in Myrtle Beach later this month. This is exciting for various reasons. After days of trying to buy tickets, I finally talked to someone at House of Blues who could get through to Ticketmaster and get the password removed from the ticket purchasing page. I may have to talk down about Ticketmaster in another post (um, hello $15 tickets costing me $11 in service fees – totally unnecessary and there’s no guarantee I’ll have them in time for the show!) Well, not only are we seeing Edwin, but Aslyn and Toby Lightman are opening! I LOVE them! And this means I won’t have to go to Greenville the following week to see the two of them…
Our hotel room for Raleigh is booked. We’re going to see Jack Johnson in June. That’s like my concert event of the summer. 🙂
Is there any musical talent you’re excited about this summer?
