I participated in the Mary Lambert Heart On My Sleeve album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided a free album to review but all opinions are my own.

And now that we have that out of the way….

If we share musical taste, then you’ve probably heard Mary Lambert on the radio. And if you’re more like me, then you had no idea that’s who you were listening to. (Seriously. I’ve probably heard her a dozen times in the past two weeks and didn’t realize who I was listening to.)

Mary Lambert describes her situation as quasi-stardom. She had a part on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ marriage equality anthem “Same Love” and as of this past week, she has a new album out.

You may have heard “Secrets” on the radio. I realized I really liked her music when I clicked play on the video and I already knew the song! (so of course I was psyched to listen to the rest of the album.) Warning: there are a few not-toddler-friendly words in this song.

I think Mary is adorable, and we’d probably be friends in real life, if she ever wanted to meet me in person. Her album is mostly upbeat, soothing and easy to listen to. She has a beautiful voice and several songs are radio-friendly. I’m anxious to add a few songs from this album to my iPod for my running playlist.

You can purchase her album on iTunes or Amazon. Connect with Mary Lambert on her website, Twitter, YouTube or Facebook.
