Havarti-Stuffed Chicken…a must-try
In the August issue of Real Simple, they have a pretty big story on recipes that require only three ingredients. Last week, I gave it a quick glance, and chose to try the Havarti-Stuffed Chicken. Technically, the recipe had four ingredients (the chicken, havarti cheese, salt and pepper.) And I had completely forgotten about the recipe until yesterday when we were meal-planning again. (We made chicken spiedies one night, and the leftovers lasted about three days. Lots of chicken.)
So I Tweeted about the recipe, and I’m SO happy to let you know that it was so easy, fast and it tasted good! It took about 20 minutes from splitting the chicken and stuffing it and cooking it.
The recipe is online, if you want to check it out. I definitely plan on adding it to our recipe box.
And a photo so you can see how I split the chicken, in order to stuff the cheese inside….oh, and when we buy chicken breasts, I cut them in half, so they’re smaller portions – more like what they’re intended to be in terms of portion size. That’s why the chicken looks so small.
oh havarti cheese is really good, might have to try this one!
