my look back at 2010
I thought I’d recap my year on this blog. With links to posts from the past year (and ohmygosh there were a lot of posts!)
January – We started January with an eat-in challenge, and a lot of snow. Oh, and I started a photo blog (a photo a day for a year!) The eat-in challenge was pretty cool. It was fun to see just how much money we could save. And it was made easier with the snow. every. single. weekend. I also ran a 10k, and it was uber-fun.
February – I recapped the eat-in challenge. I saw the Brilliant Inventions (my first show of the year). I also started working on dog beds. My first “big” sewing project.
March – This was a big month for me. First, I took one of my favorite pictures with Oliver, and we celebrated Chloe’s one year “birthday” with us. I bought our tickets to see Swell Season, and I sewed a lot! Oh yeah, and my mom and I went to Hawaii!!
April – We came home from Hawaii on April 1. What a cruel joke on us. I didn’t do much else that month, except for make the curtains in our bathroom.
May – I ran the Biltmore 15k and we did some home improvement projects, starting with the fan (we ended up hiring an electrician to hang the new fan.) We worked on our main bathroom too. We also saw Swell Season in Asheville! And to really make my month, Jane Green tweeted back at me.
June – I saw Chad Mackey perform. Oliver turned 14. We took a trip to the beach, saw Edwin McCain, Aslyn and Toby Lightman. Oh – I met Jane Green!! I also spent more time with Oliver.
July – We traveled to Savannah and Jacksonville, FL. I never blogged about Florida, but I shared a lot of photos from Savannah. Bele Chere ended the month for us.
August – I threw a Dr. Seuss-themed baby shower for a friend. And one of the saddest things about this year – we had to say goodbye to Oliver. I had music to help me through that night and the next day – I saw Edwin McCain in Asheville, and Jack Johnson in Raleigh.
September – I ran my one and only half marathon of 2010 this month. I also attended my first-ever blog conference.
October – I celebrated my birthday with my family in New York. I attended my cousin’s wedding, and visited my grandma’s farm. I also celebrated my third wedding anniversary this month. Oh, and I ran the Power of Pink relay.
November – My family visited and raked leaves for me. It’s okay, though, because we also checked out downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate while they were here. We ate a lot of popcorn, too.
December – This month has been crazy busy, but I didn’t tell you too much about it. We did say goodbye to my step-grandmother. I finished a ceramics project I had worked on for two months. Oh, and my epic lounge pants. We barely made it home from a visit with my husband’s family, due to the epic snowfall in North Carolina the day after Christmas.
I’m looking forward to 2011. I have a feeling it’s going to be a pretty exciting year!
Sounds like you had a full and fabulous 2010. Best wishes for a Happy New Year!
