On Monday, we stopped at Target on our way out of town. Had to get rain ponchos, in case it rained. (Side note: We forgot the ponchos when we went to the show. Stopped at another Target and bought an umbrella, and left that in the car….as it was starting to rain. Yep. I’m good. I did go back and retrieve the umbrella.)
In the camping/outdoors section of Target, my husband noticed that the Garmins were all on clearance. They had several of the heart rate monitors, and one Forerunner 101.
And it was only $51. (You can currently buy it on Amazon for $90, but the original Target price was over $100.)
I’ve wanted a Garmin Forerunner to help me with my running. It tracks your distance and your pace and several other things. I wanted it for distance and pace. The reviews on this one were mixed (mostly due to the battery life, but we use rechargeable batteries anyway.) The husband totally encouraged me to buy it. And he’s not an impulse shopper, but he knew that I had one in my Amazon shopping cart and that it would end up like the camera – in our house.
I didn’t get to open the package until last night, and you can’t really test it out in the house, so now I’m waiting for the rain to let up. I want to run. And I want to run far to test the Garmin. 🙂 Pictures to come – and hopefully they’ll be sunny, happy pictures!!
