my weekend in photos

We didn’t have a very busy weekend – it’s difficult to be busy when you’re down a car. I tried to document the weekend through pictures. Except….I really only took photos on Sunday. Still. This is what we’ve been up to.

Saturday I ran 20 miles. More on that tomorrow. Just know that I did it, with little incident (there was one incident – I fell – and I’m still sore today.) While I was running, the kiddo went to my mom’s for a little while. The kiddo and I had a short outing in the afternoon and for dinner, I made this:
 

I used Bari’s pizza dough recipe, but I used wheat flour. Loved it so much that I made another one on Sunday for lunch. Also, the kiddo LOVED it. (I went with making two thin crusts, rather than one deep dish crust. And I had no Italian seasoning, so I used a little oregano.)

We checked the mail on Saturday, and this was all for me:

Seven pieces of mail from various lawyers and chiropractors. I know that they all got my info from the police report filed from last week’s accident. SO annoying! The junk mail has been coming since Thursday and the accident occurred Tuesday evening.

On Sunday, we stayed in. I didn’t go outside, except to throw some garage stuff into the trash can (which was 3 steps from the door.)

We had a little bit of snow (that melted within the hour):

And after an epic 3-hour nap (on the kid’s part, not me), I had finished my husband’s scarf I started for him before Christmas. The scarf actually just needed to be tied off, and I should have finished it weeks ago. It’s done now, though.


After the craziness of last week, I needed this down time. I’m expecting a lot of downtime in the near future, as there is no ETA on my car. The insurance companies are currently battling it out and I don’t have a rental. I’m taking it day by day and trying not to let it stress me out more than absolutely necessary.
