Labels for Masks – Great for School & Camps

I’m talking masks again today. Specifically, keeping track of my kids’ masks and the best labels (from Name Bubbles) I’ve found for small masks. (Affiliate links are being used in this post.)

Did you really think we would be discussing labels for masks in 2021? Sounds odd, but here we are.

My daughter turned 5 this month, and with that came another milestone – wearing a mask full-time at preschool. It’s a state thing right now – kids 5 and older have to wear masks in schools, and I’m not one to argue with it. About half of her class wears masks and I’d been working with her to wear them more and more until her birthday, so it was a fairly easy transition.

What I wasn’t anticipating with her was possibly losing her mask. I do try to make sure my kids have lanyards, but my daughter is a wild one and sometimes the lanyard isn’t enough. My mom labeled my son’s masks last fall (she made the labels.) They’re kind of big, but not in the way and they work. My daughter’s masks are smaller, though, and I needed something small.

Oh, and the week leading up and of her birthday, I was busy making tiny masks for my best girl. While she had a good stash before this, now she has an even better one (because masks are fashion now, and my daughter’s fashion tastes change daily!)

See how small the labels are? You can use an iron (at the highest level for cotton you have) to apply this. They include a sheet of parchment paper you’ll use in between the label and iron. And it takes just a few seconds.

The labels are thin, so they aren’t in the way and don’t irritate my daughter’s face.

I’m mostly glad that if there is ever a pile of masks, I know we’ll get the correct one sent home.

Masks are here for a while, and I anticipate labeling a lot this summer for next school year. Get ahead of the game and order labels for masks from Name Bubbles now!
