A look at National Geographic Kids books (great for gift-giving!) #MomsMeet #ad
I received this product for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com), May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agree to use this product and post my honest opinion on my blog. The opinions posted are my own.
My kids love reading. I know we’re fortunate to have kids who love to read, and I attribute a lot of their love of reading to my husband making sure they’re read to on a regular basis, and also to the kids seeing us read for fun. My son has been receiving books for Christmas and his birthdays ever since he was born, and a couple of years ago he was gifted a National Geographic Kids book on dinosaurs. It was above his reading level at that time, but he LOVED looking at the pictures and trying to figure out the names of each dinosaur. He has since received a couple of other National Geographic books and we love them.
The National Geographic Kids books are high quality. They contain amazing images, a TON of information and facts. The book “Hey, Baby!: A Collection of Pictures, Poems and Stories from Nature’s Nursery” is all about baby animals. It’s perfect to read with my daughter (who is one and loves the pictures) and my son can read it on his own. (A little disclaimer: while my son is in Kindergarten, his reading level is a few years ahead. We can give him more advanced books to read.) As for me? I love animals, especially baby animals, and I love having this book around!
We also received a Let’s Play! Collection of four books in one. It’s for the pre-reader, and while it’s more appropriate for maybe a 2-year-old who knows you shouldn’t tear pages, my 1-year-old likes the pictures and my 6-year-old likes flipping through it. It has shorter phrases and sentences like “lie in the sun.” and “run, kitty!”
I also received the book 1001 Ways to Slow Down. I’ll admit that I haven’t had as much time to read this, however this is something I need to work on. I like the tips and I think slowing down is something I need to work on.
