- and even cooking and cake decorating!
I’m a longtime fan of Craftsy. They offer so many different classes and I used them years ago. I love that you can learn a new craft from the comfort of your own home and at your own pace and time. I don’t have a ton of time to leave the house to take a new class, so this is perfect for me.
I picked up sewing this past year when I needed to make masks. I turned that hobby into a side business for the better part of a year, and that’s one thing I could have learned through Craftsy, had I not had my mom to lean on for tips and tricks!
But I also want to get into cake decorating at a new level. My kids are requesting trickier cakes for their birthdays and I want to be that mom who can deliver a gorgeous cake.
Another hobby I have is crocheting, but I can only crochet in a straight line. I literally only know one stitch. I have several blankets that haven’t been completed, and I can make a great scarf. Anything more than that is hard for me – and this summer I feel like I can possibly take an online crocheting class and have something else to try next winter!
Did you know I used to paint ceramics? I would LOVE to get back into painting, and even have my kids join in on that fun!
My 9-year-old loves drawing and creating his own comic books. My 5-year-old also considers herself an artist. There are classes on Craftsy that are great for kids. With kids home this summer, why not invest the $2.49 and sign them up for an online craft class?
Who should try Craftsy?
All. Of. Us. We should all try Craftsy this summer and fall. Try your hand at a new craft or hobby. Get the whole family involved.
I’ve never heard of classes through Craftsy! So cool!
I love Craftsy! My friend Tara just released a new film on Quilt As You Go… it’s a lot of fun!
